Stanley 500 ampere jump starter has desulfation technology. It is ETL listed with a 500 ampere instant starting power and a 1000 ampere peak power. So as you can see the Stanley J5C09 Jump Starter is NOT bad but it is not good either – it is just average. The other problem you may run into with this jump starter is that the unit does not have an automatic float charging system! This basically means that when you plug in it you cannot expect it to keep a full charge! You will have to keep going back to it every few months and unplug it and then plug it back in to keep the charge or you will end up with an uncharged unit and worse still it can damage the battery! Another thing is that the Stanley J5C09 Jump Starter does not have a power cord you will need an extension cord! The other thing is that the Stanley J5C09 Jump Starter is HEAVY! I mean this is not a big issue if you can use it right? But that could make or break your decision on a certain Jump Starter. I recommend you take a look at the Jump N Carry JNC300XL Jump Starter or the Clove Automotive JNC660 12v Jump Starter first before you make your final decision! I haven’t used all the features,but I recently had a electrical problem in my car. The alternator was draining my battery,and I had to unplug it every time. I got the jump starter after my car was fixed,but then I forgot to turn my lights off two days later. This thing jumped my car just fine. Read full review…. I haven’t really used it for jump starting a car,but I have used the inflator and I was impressed. It took about 25-30 seconds to inflate my bike tire from 25 psi to 70 psi. I’ve been using it to check tire pressure,filling in roughly 10-15 psi in each tire before my rides. So far the unit holds charge quite decently. Didn’t have to recharge it after several rides. The negatives would be that the inflator tube is very very short. It’s very noisy when it inflates. And the tube gets quite hot after inflating both tires.
